IBM solidDB Universal Cache relies on relational, in-memory database technology to achieve throughput of tens-to-hundreds of thousands of transactions per second with response times measured in microseconds. Leveraging this in-memory technology, solidDB Universal Cache can accelerate DB2 by caching performance critical data stored in DB2 into solidDB Universal Cache. This presentation will introduce and explain solidDB relational, in-memory technology, including how the out-of-the-box integration and synchronization works between DB2 and solidDB Universal Cache. It will provide benchmark information measuring throughput and latency, showing how solidDB provides both high throughput and low latency to address data access requirements in communications, financial services, e-commerce, and other performance critical markets.
