E11 - Getting a Grip on Connections and Threads in DB2 for z/OS

Topic: Cross Platform DB2 for z/OS & LUW

Subtopic: 2016

DB2 for z/OS provides us all the means to control thread and connection behavior within the subsystem. Monitoring profiles allow you to monitor threads and connections and even to cancel them in given circumstances. This presentation will discuss the usage of monitoring profiles in DB2, its benefits and how this relates to the governor (Resource Limit Facility) and connection configurations on the DB2 driver.
