Commit scopes has some impact on the load-data/insert times. We all know that. How many of us application programmers insert data on the application server? Is that the best choice? What is the penalty of having an application inserting data and committing upon every row - versus every 100 or 10000 rows? What is a "good commit scope"? This presentation will reveal measurements carried out in various situations.
