The term "health check" is often used generically. This one focuses on the DB2 data sharing infrastructure. Due to the division of responsibilities between DB2 and z/OS staff, it can be the weakest link. The speaker performed 15 in the last 3 years for parallel sysplex users in the Americas. She describes the obstacles observed and provides recommendations for achieving high availability. Applies to DB2 V7/V8
