This is a band new presentation which provides a detailed and thorough update on managing virtual storage constraint, above and below 16MB line, with both Version 7 and Version 8. The presentation will coves the following topics: what are the problems? what consumes virtual storage in DBM1? using DB2PE and REXX tools to analysing virtual storage used, building a virtual storage budget to determine how many threads I can support, tuning to provide virtual storage constraint relief, estimating the value of 64-bit virtual support in V8 and what is the impact on real storage also.
