What's going on with SQL?
We're used to asking questions and we know how to code them in SQL - but how do you ask a question about a specific point in time? Temporal data support allows the user/programmer to concentrate on WHAT the questions are whilst DB2 Temporal support manages the underlying data to provide the answers
And what about recursion? Can an SQL statement really re-execute itself repeatedly until it gets to the final result set? With Recursive SQL, yes it can
