SPEAKERS: Robert Goodman (Florida Hospital)
DB2 V8, 9 and "X" introduce some powerful partitioning features. Unfortunately, all of the options can lead to confusion. This session will examine six significant partitioning features. It will visually demonstrate the concepts behind each feature and show how they work. Then it will explore when to use the new features by looking at good and bad fits. Finally, it will look at the power and pitfalls in using these features and assess ways they can be implemented to make life better. If you're interesting in understanding and exploiting new partitioning features, this presentation will provide you with some important insights.
