Subtopic: DB2 for z/OS
With a huge population and account base, banks in China face unprecedented challenges. This session describes operational and scalability performance challenges that Chinese banks faced with DB2 for z/OS and how they worked around them. Session topics include: environment and business requirements; technical and performance/scalability challenges (e.g., perform 200+ DDL schema changes in one hour, perform BIND/REBIND of 7,000+ packages in one hour, ensure the exact same access path in test and production systems, perform online switch of the journal table, and verify insert performance.
