There are a variety of business needs in which access to production or near-production data is required – development, testing, and report generation, to name a few. And in many cases, these needs can be fulfilled by creating and using a clone of a production database, rather than the production database itself. This presentation discusses some of the advantages of database cloning and it examines a variety of methods that are available for cloning production DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows databases.
