DB2 now gives us the ability to manage up to THREE different versions of access paths for a single package, and to switch between them as and when we wish But why is this feature here? What are the problems surrounding rebinds that Access Path Stability is trying tio address and aren't there other ways (such as hints) that can address the same issues This presentation looks at the background, at the problems with uncontrolled rebinding and at the three flavours of Access Path Stability
