There are many obstacles to overcome in making more frequent test data refreshes. Many shops run close to 24x7 and have different data structures of source and target, which both makes consistent data copies more complex. Applying strict sensitive data masking policies and the requirement to conserve data dependencies in order to run meaningful performance test are often contradictory. And the different applications and platforms all should follow the same data masking procedures. Eventually, potentially high costs of unload/load jobs must be avoided. This session presents Swiss Mobiliar’s approach to solve these problems and to automate the test data refreshing process.
