Subtopic: DB2 for z/OS
DB2 10 for z/OS has been around for over a year. For many, that signals the start of their planning for a potential upgrade. One aspect of that upgrade planning is managing the DB2 subsystem initialization parameters; better know as DSNZPARMs. The keywords on the DSNZPARM macros control many aspects of DB2's behavior. This presentation will assist you in avoiding any ZPARM surprises on your journey to DB2 10. We will be examining the opaque and visible (documented in the manual) parameters, both new to DB2 10 and those being deprecated or removed by DB2 10. There is also a short discussion on the use of the DB2 -SET SYSPARM command. Finally, this presentation is a follow-on to my "The Good, the Bad, and the Really Ugly: DSNZPARM".
