Topic: 2014 NA
Subtopic: DB2 for LUW
In most production DB2 LUW implementations, a database administrator needs to investigate options for high availability or disaster recovery. In this session, we will be discussing two of the more common types of availability configurations - IBM's DB2 HADR feature compared to IBM's Power HA (more commonly known as HACMP). IBM Champion Ember Crooks will be discussing multiple HADR configurations, set-up, and common issues. Co-presenter Michael Krafick will be comparing HADR to IBM's Power HA (HACMP), discussing setup, configuration, as well as various tips and tricks. Learn the situations in which you might use one or the other, and even both!
