Adoption of Java applications has proliferated as more and more distributed workloads run on DB2. Although JDBC programming is not new, customers find it difficult to develop applications that are high performing with large volumes of complex data and also have continuous availability. This session is geared towards mitigating these challenges through tips and tricks drawn from customer engagements on identifying application bottlenecks, DB2 tuning, programming techniques for efficient connection and resultset management, optimal client-server configurations for load balancing, failover etc. You will come out of this session with a more holistic view to help bridge the chasm that exists in most companies between applications and DB2
