Subtopic: DB2 for LUW
There are some catastrophic database events that fortunately rarely occur. However every database administrator should have a response strategy in place to handle them if they do arise. The DBA should be positioned to respond and manage events such as an instance crash, when there is no response from DB2 (DB2 Hanging), if DB2STOP is failing to finish or there are DB2 connection interruptions. Problems such as these will be presented along with crisis management resolution suggestions that are based on many years of DB2 experience across a variety of installations.
