In the DB2 Support Center we are usually involved when things don't go the way they are expected or supposed to go.
In this presentation we take you through a number of common customer pain points that we have recently worked on.
Besides the actual code defects resulting in APARs there are often application, database and system design options that can be used to avoid or mitigate these problems.
In addition to fixing problems, APARs can also introduce new options ZPARMs, .. to help to avoid certain problems.
In this presentation we will take you through a number of actual customer cases, the symptoms, how the issues were identified, and how they were addressed.
Sharing these customer experiences and learning from them will hopefully make that you can avoid hitting a similar issue in your installation.
