Presentation will discuss the life of a SQL statement in DB2 on Unix platforms. A flow of SQL from submission to completion will be demonstrated. Tips on how to collect and tune SQL will be presented and how to use and read explain plans will be discussed and reviewed. Also, SQL in a DPF environment will be discussed.Tips on improving SQL for performance will be given.
