DB2 9 and DB2 9.5 introduced new options for the BACKUP, RESTORE, ROLLFORWARD and RECOVER utilities. Do you know how to recover a database using only a subset of table space backups? The Database Rebuild support can greatly reduce the disk space required to make data copies for selected testing or unique recovery situation, including dropped tables, dropped table spaces or point in time recovery to correct application errors. Are you familiar with TO END OF BACKUP option to restore a backup that does not require any other log files?
