Some of the Europe's largest computer centers are using RealTime DBAExpert to manage their DB2 database maintenance 24x7 in real-time. This presentation will focus on how the tool monitors all objects of an entire DB2 subsystem and supports just-in-time online utility generation based on real-time statistics (RTS). In this presentation, we show how to set up real-time maintenance, what to consider when setting up RTS for maintenance decisions, and how to eliminate unnecessary RUNSTATS. We will demonstrate the tools integration with typical job scheduling systems like TWS (aka OPC), CONTROL-M, CA-7 and UC4 through the Dynamic Job Scheduler Interface (e.g., Batch Loader). Live examples of a running system are presented as well.
