Making sure the database is properly configured and tuned is key to making sure your application will run properly. Developers may not have the tools, third party software, or permissions to do this. If you do not have these tools or rights, as an application developer how can you check to make sure the DBAs are doing their job? Alot of the answers lie in SQL you CAN run. This presentation will cover SQL that can help you examine your systeam and make sure the DBA is doing their job and also SQL to help you do yours.
