The Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002, along with other legislation, has placed an increasing emphasis on the role of IT in financial reporting for most companies. One critical piece of the SOX act (section 404) is most cited in IT industry magazines. That section discusses the need for controls on access to financial data - including controls regarding the IT infrastructure that manages and controls access to that data. This presentation provides an overview of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other related legislation, and discusses how BMC Software’s Log Master for DB2 can help you ensure SOX compliance. Techniques on using this tool for "RAD" purposes -- Recovery, Audit, and Data migration will be covered in detail.
