Intelligent storage arrays provide for multiple ways to protect information and enhance performance. A DBA must have a clear understanding of these storage arrays to make optimal use of the functionality provided. Poor choices for DB and DBM settings can negate many of the storage features. This presentation explains the choices and opens the lid on the Storage Array black box.
