Data growth results in increasing storage requirements, while querying and managing the data continues to take longer over time. This session will discuss a number of ways to manage database growth to reduce costs. Sampling, MQT's, and MDC tables provide ways to significantly improve query execution times. Viper introduces increased table capacity, row compression to save disk space and slow growth, and also introduces table partitioning. Tips and best practices will also be discussed.
