With DB2 V8 in New Function Mode many things have changed. Or have they? Will the presence of Unicode, the movement of control blocks and data areas 'above the bar', or optimizer improvements and new access paths change the way(s) we do application and systems performance tuning? What about CPU increases? Do we need to watch memory usage? What if we can't afford many tools? Here are the results of our approach.
