Automating development, testing and deployment on z/OS using JavaScript, Jest, Jenkins and Zowe

Zowe opens up z/OS to the open source tools and technologies that are commonly used to automate development, testing and deployment of software on other platforms.In this session you will have the opportunity to review the elements of a modern DevOps pipeline for a CICS transaction application written in COBOL and running on IBM dB2. In the first part of the session a members of the Broadcom engineering team contributing to Zowe Command Line Interface will walk you through the automation set up and the demonstration and in the second part of the session you can join one of the lab stations to update the automation code and discuss your use cases with the Broadcom technical team and other workshop participants.
Prior experience in DevOps and modern scripting languages can be of help, but it is not required to participate.
