dis db(*) sp(*) claimers only limit(*)

dis db(*) sp(*) claimers only limit(*)
Dear all
I'm trying to automate the lauch of this command at each dsnt500i message
(resource unavailable) , but get weird results :
-the command only gives the claimers on dsndb01 and dsndb06

When i try the command with a specific database name , i get the correct
result.

The manual doesn't say anything on this , so Do i miss something ?

Thank you

Re: dis db(*) sp(*) claimers only limit(*)

Keep in mind, there is a limit as to the number of messages able to be displayed. It's something like 64K bytes.

Even though you specify "LIMIT(*)", you can still get:
DSNU113I CSECT-NAME - DISPLAY OR TERM UTILITY
MESSAGE LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED

Perhaps, you are hitting this limit.

Billy:

Are you trying to run this from an Automated Operator facility of some sort? What ID does this command run under, and what are it's privileges? Is it a SYSOPER id, a install SYSADM id, a granted SYSADM id, or what? I guess I'm wondering if the ID you're running this command under simply doesn't have sufficient authority to run it against all databases.

Also, you might want to issue the following commands as well:
-dis db(*) sp(*) active locks limit(*)
-dis db(*) sp(*) restrict limit(*)
-dis utility(*)

There are a LOT of reasons why something can show up as Resource Unavailable, and your one display might not show all of them. The more information you gather, the easier it is to find the problem & fix it.

David,
I am install sysadm, i don't think this is an authority problem because when
i specify the dbname i can see the result, otherwise all the command you
specified are OK. I am opening a PMR with IBM.
