IBM Press has just launched a promotion to showcase all the new books
published late last year: This entails a free 200-page eBook for
download- comprised of sample chapters from both new and key backlist
titles- as well as some new audio podcasts with authors such as Paul

a few quick updates.

RUG Coupons

As a reminder, you and your members have until April 18 to register with
the IDUG RUG Coupon

receive an additional $50 discount off the early bird registration rate.
In total, this represents a savings of $250 on your registration. If you
have not already done so, please share this coupon with your members.

RUG Complimentary Registration Drawing

As announced last fall, for each member of your RUG who registers for
IDUG 2008 - North America using the RUG coupon, your RUG will be
automatically entered into a drawing to receive a complimentary
registration. The more of your RUG members that register, the greater
your RUG's chance of winning!

To date, RUG coupons have been submitted by members of the following
Regional Users Groups, and these RUGs have been entered into the drawing

If you or any of your members are planning to attend IDUG 2008 - North
America please consider moderating one or more session. If you are
interested in this opportunity, please use the Personal Itinerary Tool
in the Conference Schedule of Events

to choose an available session. Directions for volunteering to moderate,
as well as the moderator guidelines, can be found on this page. Among
the guidelines, session moderators are responsible for introducing the
speaker as well as general housekeeping tasks such as directing
attendees to available seats, keeping the session on time, and
collecting evaluation cards. This is an easy way to start as an IDUG

RUG Meetings On Site at IDUG North America

We are in the process of finalizing the schedule of events for the
conference. We are planning to have a RUG meeting on site, but do not
have the specific date, time, or location confirmed at this point. Once
details are finalized, we will let you know.
