Chapter Two of the ongoing XML story starts by considering when
it is a good idea to consider storing XML data directly in DB2
tables and when it might be more appropriate to shred the XML and
store the resulting information as traditional relational data Then
we will look at some of the changes to DB2s XML support since DB2 9
GA We will then move on to look at the enhancements DB2 10 has
brought to the XML story - including subdocument changes as well as
strong enforcement of XML schemas.
There will be ample time for Q&A
PLEASE NOTE – We are using a new infrastructure for the DB2 Tech Talks, so it might be helpful to try and join the session a little early in case there is new software to download to your pc
This presentation will be repeated on Thursday October 20th.
Sessions are always recorded and the recordings can be made available for anyone who is unable to attend any of the live sessions
