I'm interested in learning about developing APIs to Mainframes data.
Please let me know if there are any training sessions or webinars available on this topic.
Senior DB2 DBA.
Db2 offers a native REST API interface (see Phil's links) to access Db2 data and calling Db2 stored procedures.
z/OS Management Facility (no-change part of z/OS) offers many REST interfaces: SDSF, dataset, and it can REST enable JCLs through workflows. I will be presenting how to exploit this as a DBA at the upcoming Poland Db2 User Group meeting next month. I have also submitted it for IDUG Malta (crossing fingers! :))
For accessing other types of mainframe resources through REST API IBM offers z/OS Connect possibly combined with IBM Data Virtualization Manager to access CICS transactions, IMS transaction, Websphere, batch, IMS data, Adabas data, etc.

If you attended the Data Tech Summit in November, you can download the prez I delivered on enabling the Cloning Tool for Provisioning, via REST. The techniques are transferable.
If you will be at IDUG NA, I’ll be delivering an updated version there. We could talk more about it afterwards if interested.
