Sorry, Raymond – you’re right, they’re premium. Forgot about that; I’ve been a DBA so long that I came on board when they were part of the core product. ;-)

Hmmm… shouldn’t that have [AD] at the front of it, as the utilities are ‘cost plus’ items?

Posit: IBM Db2 utilities are exempt from the normal ‘no advertising’ rules. Discuss. :o)

Cheers,

Raymond

(in response to Philip Sevetson)

I disagree.  I don't think it needs "AD".  The utilities cost extra but the redbooks are free.  And the original post about the redbook was from a customer, not from the vendor (IBM), so it was informational, not advertisement.

[AD] [Db2 z/OS] DB2 Utilities in Practice Redpaper
(in response to Joe Geller)
I think the litmus test here is whether a customer posting a note pointing to a link to a CA or BMC or Rocket or Syncsort or whoever “what’s new” or “best practices” document would be regarded as advertising (and thus need an [AD] prefix)

I suspect it would

And the way this redbook introduces itself is definitely a commercial
