DSNACICS calling CICS transation on remote CICS region ?

Hello,

anybody using DSNACICS stored procedure to call CICS transaction from DB2 ? We are trying to figure out if it's possible to call CICS running on different LPAR from DB2 member in sysplex. We  opened couple of PMRs on this subject but without a clear answer and real help from IBM.

DSNACICS calling CICS transation on remote CICS region ?
(in response to Nenad Vidak)
Hi Nenad,I am not using DSNACICS, but CICS still needs to connect to a local DB2 system.
As I was typing this I realised that DSNACICS is an Assembler program and I can see that it has the CICS EXCI Stub, so I thought CICS EXCI only needed to know the VTAM APPLID to connect to the CICS region. In a Sysplex I would expect that you should be able to route to whatever VTAM APPLID you have.
The last alternatives are -1. Define the MIRROR_TRANS parameter to direct to the CICS region you want, using CICS MRO / IPIC connections2. Make the CICS program that is invoked be smart enough to invoke the transaction on the correct CICS region.
As an aside; I wonder if DSNACICS will be updated to support EXCI Channels to be able to pass up to 2G in data (not that I expect to be using this anytime soon).
Regards, Tony
