Rexx for zParm values from multiple subsystems

Rexx for zParm values from multiple subsystems

I have a rexx that opens and cursors and fetches the values from sysproc.admin_info_sysparm for a single subsystem and writes each record out to a file. If I wanted the values of all my subsystems side by side, what would be the best way to code that? Should I get all the values of each subsystem first or each individual value for all the subsystems a record at a time? I hope that makes sense.

thanks

I would get them all from each subsystem, one subsystem at a time.  It's a simple loop in rexx to merge all the values at the end.  Otherwise, you have a ton of connecting and disconnecting going on.

Right! thanks for the advice!

So I am guessing which each subsystem I would store them in an array? then once I have all my subsystems, write all the records from the array.

Yep.   You can use the same stem (compound variable) for all systems and just swap out the ssid as one of the qualifiers for the compound variable.   Get the code started and if you run into a hiccup, post here.   Todd.
