All presentations must be strongly technical in nature, cannot contain marketing content, and must support and strengthen the information services community by providing the highest quality education and services designed to promote the effective utilization of Db2 and it’s family of products.
Presentations may cover details of Db2 tools and other ancillary Db2 products. In case a technical demo is incorporated, the presentation must be able to convey the same information in absence of it.
IDUG strongly encourages speakers to read through the IDUG Speakers Guide.
The Conference Planning Committee strives to achieve a balanced conference program of business solutions relevant to today’s IT environment and usage of Db2 on one or more platforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, UNIX, z/OS).
We are also looking to empower data professionals in a changing marketplace and open up to new members by extending the presentation offerings into new areas. We are looking for your presentations on:
- New Db2 releases: migrating and effective usage
- Analytics & Business Intelligence
- New Technologies: Mobile Applications, Cloud, xAAS, …
- Performance, Availability & Security
- Application Development and Data Modelling
- Db2 and Packaged Applications (ERP, ...)
- User Experiences and Best-Practices: what did you achieve with Db2?
Please consider forwarding this invitation to speakers who you believe could contribute to this goal.

This is what two of our EMEA 2017 first time speakers say about the experience:
Belen Frances Foz, Bankinter
The Spanish colleague who pushed me to be a Speaker, was right: it’s so nice experience!
Db2 community have so much to share, that having IDUG is quite easy.
My tutor Timm, also Philip and Frederik resolving any doubt. A friendly web, clear rules, alerts on important dates.
Everything prepared in the room for the presentation, all material needed available, and Manuel as moderator.
And what I liked best is that all organizers always had an smile, making you feel un-stress and comfortable!
My first experience as a speaker at the IDUG was great.
The prior support I received was perfect. I got everything I required for my presentation
I would certainly hold a presentation at the IDUG again.
