IDUG News,
IDUG Nears Completion of Tech Stack Transition
Here Come New Tools, a Better Member Experience

IDUG is excited to put the finishing touches on our tech stack transition in the next few weeks. You may have seen our messaging – we've been hard at work updating the website, and shifting your IDUG community tools to a new space. Regrettably, the platform that housed your digital IDUG experience has elected to retire, and so we've been working hard behind the scenes to source and implement modern tools that we are confident will enable us to move forward well and maintain continuity into future years.

While we wrap up some of our migration, you may notice a few continued hiccups this week. Please be assured that this is temporary – a comprehensive user experience with SSO enabled across all of our tools is near. Be on the lookout for a notification to log in to your member account and get started with the new IDUG in early March. Questions? Reach out to our team. We're happy to help.

Db2 13 Readiness Report

Written by Emil Kotrc

Before you migrate to any new Db2 release such as Db2 13 you usually do a migration readiness planning. Part of this planning is running the pre-migrations job that IBM ships with the prior version (DSNTIJPE in Db2 12) as well as with the latest version (DSNTIJPM in Db2 13). Normally you run these checks on the prior version – in this case on Db2 12 – to make sure the migration to a new release runs smoothly.
